In stitches.....

Just a quick update -

Ive been kept busy this week with this little lot -

My fingers are sore from loads of hand stitching - makes mental note to one self to remember to buy a thimble the next time I go to the fabric store.
I *heart* fabric so much and have been drooling over some of the new designs from Amy Butler.

Whilst Hubs has been resting and watching an endless stream of DVD's, Ive also been busy putting classes together for Moxley Massive Birthday Bash part 2 which takes place on Saturday April 17th - I'm looking forward to meeting up with some familiar faces, as well as meeting new :D

I'm excited to be driving back to my old stomping ground for this event, as I'll be able to make a quick over night stop with my Mom....it feels like forever since I last saw her over New Year - but hopefully that will all change in the not so distant future as a house move is on the horizon :D

Apart from nursing my darling Hubs and scrapping lots, I don't have anything exciting to share - life has been pretty hum drum - but I like hum drum - I love it when things just trickle along nicely and there are no major hiccups :D

Have a great weekend and thanks for dropping by.

Someday is not a day of the week

One day, someday soon....when I've got 5 minutes spare....I will get it done - this is the story of my life at the moment and to be honest it has been driving me slowly bonkers! I've been dashing around, chasing my tail, and meeting myself coming back!! If only there were more hours in the day *sigh*

I've been caught up with real life stuff - broken fingers, school and college assignments, family and Educational matters and to top it all - Hubs was in an accident last Thursday and is now on crutches! We see his surgeon again on Tuesday and will find out then the full extent of the damage caused.....the one thing I've learnt over the past couple of weeks is that life is simple, but sometimes its just not easy!

To stop myself from shrivelling up under the duvet and turning into a snivelling ball of tears and snot, I've kept myself occupied playing with pretties from Prima.

I loved the sketch Anam designed for Prima's March Build a Page and decided to make it in to a letter sized page for my "Just Us" album.

Last month I was invited to a party :D
I'm off to The Netherlands in April to go teach a bunch of Prima classes at Paper and Pictures 6th Birthday Celebrations and this past week have been busy putting the classes together.

We will be playing with one of Primas new Canvas Build a Books, along with a host of gorgeous Prima papers and plenty of blooms and bling. All of which, when put together, create a very tactile and textured family themed mini book.
As well as the minibook class, I'll be teaching two layout classes, which will of course use lots of the newest releases from Prima. :D

And finally - I couldn't resist using Primas Shabby Chic and Flights of Fancy patterned papers to create my take on this weeks Pencil Lines sketch, which was created by guest designer Tara Orr.

Product used -
Patterned papers - Shabby Chic (841133) & Flights of Fancy (841478) Watercolor rainbow (841300); Chipboard Accents Raspberry Tea (536718); Ribbon Braided Rose (537234).

I used some of Primas new Braided Rose ribbon on this page - I just love the stuff and want more - lots more! I also used some 3D ivory slick paint - which works like dimensional pearls - to add a pearl drop border....but its not very visible in the photos!!

Prima are this months Pencil Lines sponsor - so get submitting your layouts to the Pencil Lines gallery if you want to stand a chance at winning the Prima RAK which is filled with the most beautiful goodies.

In between tending to his Lordships every need and attacking the spring cleaning, I've kept myself occupied with my nose firmly buried in this book......

#177

Pencil Lines sponsor during the month of March is Prima Marketing :D
This weeks guest designer and sketch artist is Prima's very own, Sharon Laakkonen.....go check out her stunning page right here.

I used papers from Primas "Wink" (841010), "Strawberry Kisses" (841423) & "Shabby Chic"(841133) collections.

The white Voila(881870) decorative felt strip, which sits beneath the Songbird Vine(539023, was inked to coordinate with the papers used to create the page. I added a few extra blooms from the Melange(537586)and Athena(537753) collections and I couldn't resist using some of the new Lace(537296) to add texture to this page. Times Alphabet(536909) was used for the title.

Its been mad crazy here - loads going on behind the scenes with exciting things upon the horizon - I can't say too much just yet - you know how it goes ;D
Ive been scrapping LOTS - putting together classes for the coming months, as well as a few other assignments that have kept me on my toes.

Mothers Day in the UK is just a few days away and surprisingly I have been organised enough to actually make my Mom something!

The weather has been glorious here over the past few days and spring is definitely in the air :D

I'm still on track with my get fit regime and have kept up with my daily trek across the beach. I really enjoy my "power walk", as well as giving my lungs their daily dose of fresh sea air - the excess poundage is slowly, but surely, disappearing.

Its J's 14th b'day tomorrow - so I had better go ice his cake!

Thanks for dropping by.
