Walk the walk

Pencil Lines Sketch number 175 went live last night with the amazingly talented DT members from Scrapbook Nook as the guests.

This is my interpretation of the sketch using Nerdy Bird papers and accents from Sassafras.

The photos of my little nephew are not the best - they are blurred and out of focus -but I really love them and wanted to scrap them so I could record some of the the silly faces he pulls when he thinks no one is watching him. He is such a comical character and really makes me smile.

Another thing that has been making me smile LOTS just lately is this .....

On the 4th Jan I began my get fit regime and can happily report that 7 weeks later I'm still sticking with it. Ive dropped a jean size and shed more than 8 bags of sugar in weight :D
Cutting out all of the yack from my diet and replacing it with healthier low fat options was easier than I thought it would be - although I will confess to missing my nightly nibbles whilst curled up on the sofa.....nothing I try takes away my craving for a bowl of olives or a big fat wedge of cheese to chomp on - if anyone out there has a healthy alternative then PLEASE PLEASE will you share?

As well as changing my diet Ive also upped my daily exercise.
Each and every day, no matter how the weather is performing, I have been walking from one end of the beach to the other and back! On some days, when time has allowed, Ive walked it twice!!
When Hubs and I first started walking the beach it would take us just over an hour to do "there and back", but as time has moved on and Ive stepped up my pace, I can now "walk the walk" in 40 minutes....which Bobs says is not bad for an "oldie"!! LOL!
The hounds are enjoying their twice daily frolic in the ocean and Im lovin the fact that I can almost squeeze myself back in to my all time favourite pair of jeans :D

After my walk this morning, I came home and had a little play with some Prima goodies whilst looking after Bobs who is suffering with yet again another throat infection - sigh :(

Thanks for popping by.
T.x.

Oooh I so love that turquoise and the bright colours! Makes the b&w photos really "pop"! The layout is great.

Lucky you, living so near a gorgeous beach. Maybe I'd be more inspired to get out and walk, if we lived near my fav. beach...

Alternatives to olives: grapes, mandarine/clementine/orange slices, apple and celery salad... Alternative to cheese? soo hard that one.. I haven't found one yet - I am supposed to be "off" dairy foods (health, not weight), but I haven't found anything to replace the cheese. Still, you could munch rice cakes to keep your mouth busy. They even make flavoured ones now (marmite are best!!)

Congrats on the weight loss!! I've been doing exactly the same, 4 weeks ago I started a Wii game to lose weight and exercise, so far so good, and the nightly nibbles are definitely a problem!!!!!! Love your PL layout, just gorgeous x
