We have birthdays to celebrate and days that need to be spent remembering the good times and the not so good.
Hubs and I really enjoyed our weekend by celebrating the first of our June events as we went back over time....back to 1989 when we first got together twenty years ago. I cant believe we have spent the past twenty years together - that's half of my lifetime!
We dug out some old tunes and spent Saturday evening enjoying a meal at home whilst chatting about our life together and you know what?......If I had the opportunity to go back in time and choose again - I'd still make the same choices I made back then.
Sure, like most couples we have had some really bad times and have dealt with a serious amount of crap that I wouldn't wish on anyone....but our good times together have certainly out weighed the bad and I'm a strong believer that the crap we have endured, has made us both stronger and better individuals.
To mark our special date Hubs bought me this plaque to hang on our garden wall - bless.I love my Hubs with all my heart and am so very thankful that I have spent the last 20 years with him by my side.....here's to the next 20 years and us growing old and grey together:D
Last week was soo busy for me with lots of family stuff going on....it was quite emotionally draining and I needed to take a step back from everything and treat myself to a day off from the merry go round of life, so I met up with one of my pals and we spent Wednesday attending a jewellery making workshop at our local Bead Store - it as great fun and I came away having made 5 pieces of jewellery as well as learning a few new techniques :D
I also spent a couple of days helping a pal organise her wedding which was such a laugh and now we just have to sit back and wait for the big day :D I really didn't think we would be able to organise a wedding in just two days, but the venue she liked just happened to be free the weekend she wanted and everything else kinda slotted in to place, almost as if it was meant to be :D
What with one thing or another I was certainly kept busy and didn't get as much time in my scrap room as I would have liked - I need to make up for it this week as I have projects waiting to be finished off and a pile of really exciting projects to make a start on.
I leave you with a couple of layouts -
Pencil Lines Sketch #138
Guest designer Hilde Jansbroers; Sketch by Anna Bowkis.
Products used -
Cardstock - Bazzill
Patterned Papers - My Minds Eye Bloom and Grow; Crate Paper Blue Hill
Alphas - American Crafts Thickers; Making Memories Tiny Alpha's
Ebellies - Glitz Frosting
Paint - Making Memories Honeydew
Prima Build a Page - June

Each month Prima post a sketch on the Prima blog - why not have a go and create a page using Prima products? If you send your LO in to the Prima gallery you never know you may just be the winner of the monthly prize that's up for grabs.....it would be nice to see a few UK submissions ;D
I used papers from the Rebellious line to create my interpretation of the sketch. The photographs are of Bobs which were taken just before he headed off for his Junior School Leavers party - which had a Punk theme - so the papers were perfect for these photographs.
That's all for now - lots to do and a busy week ahead.
Thanks for dropping by.

Great layouts, I especially love the first one :)!!!!
It was lovely to hear that you are both still going strong after 20 years. I married my hubby in June 1989 so it must have been a very good year!
You are right about good outweighing the bad and I would do it all the same again too. Here's to the next 20 years xxx
