Saturday was such a wonderful day....one I certainly wont forget in a long time :)

I got to spend time with some of my local scrap pals and we scrapped whilst indulging in a slice or two of yummy cake.
Whilst I was scrapping Hubs had taken the guys to a local BMX event - I cant begin to record just how proud I am of my guys.
They had both been selected to try out for the local BMX team which is to represent our area in the National Youth Sports Competition - both boys were really nervous and no matter how much I tried to reassure them over breakfast that they would be fine, I knew they thought otherwise.
This was a huge thing for them - especially as its Bobs dream to ride for the UK's BMX team in the 2012 Olympics.....but doesn't every sports minded boy have that dream...that maybe one day they could be good enough to represent their country???
Anyways by 2pm Bobs came and paid me a visit and shared the good news that both he and his little bro had made it to the team :):):)

Hubs and I are so OTT proud of them both - they are our hero's and, no matter how things pan out for them, no one can take away that moment when Bobs looked at me with such jubilation upon his face as he said "We are in" :):):)
Saturday evening turned into somewhat of a celebration and boy didn't I know about it on Sunday morning! The alarm bell went off far to early but I got myself organised after a quick Fathers Day early morning trek to the beach followed by a beach breakfast, I hit the motorway and headed off to Watford.
The hotel was divine with gardens to match.

Sharing giggles and laughter with some of my pals from ScrapDreamie was real fun.....so much so that going to bed was proving to be rather difficult and we finally hit bed at 3am!!

Monday came and it was great to put names to faces as I got to meet quite a few of the lovely ladies who work so very hard to keep the scrapping nation topped up with supplies.

Lance Anderson aka Mr Pickle was a complete star and shared with us all a couple of wonderful classes.

Ive yet to open my class kits as I was otherwise occupied being a busy bee finalising details of something very special and really exciting - watch this space ;)
The drive home was rather fun too!
Ummmm this petrol strike that has hit the UK really had my heart beating fast....every station I called at was fueless!
With me having 180 miles to go and the petrol light flashing I was staring to panic that I'd end up being stranded on the hard shoulder of the M5 for days on end!
Thankfully I managed to make it to a service station that had just one pump in action - hooray for Super Ultra Unleaded - boo hoo to the £1.47p per litre I had to pay - although that's far cheaper than the £1.99p it has been selling for in our neck of the woods!!
Today has been a mumble jumble day - padding around catching up on the dreaded housework and prepping for tomorrow....ummmmm its almost here now - the big 4 - 0!!
Yikes!!
Less than 1 hour to go and in J's words I will be "halfway to dead!" - bless him - he really knows how to make me feel good :)
Hope your weekend was a good one too.
