Scrapping Frenzy!

Ive been a really norty blogger this week and havent updated for a few days!
There are only so many hours in the day and Ive been otherwise occupied with stuff:)

My kit arrived from Bad Girls and my oh my....Im am in lurve with the decorative tape that Wendy tracked down to pop in the October kits.....it really is the bestest ever....if you want a sneak of what Im talking about then take a peep here.....just check out all the delish goodies in this months kit!

With my kit to play with I decided to settle myself down yesterday to a serious scrapping session.....I got up early....showered and then decided I'd scrap in my jammies! I dont normlly wear PJ's during the day, but they are my prefferd choice of clothing when Im scrapping...probably because I mainly scrap late at night!

So there I was...sat on the living room floor....in my Pj's...no make up on....scrapping and watching a stream of DVD's...stash started to spread around the room and I was happily making a jolly good old mess. Hubs was pottering around the house doing "man jobs" and the guys had gone off to the skate park......bliss.

Suddenly there was a knock at the door....ummm.....noone and I repeat noone was going to see me looking the way I did, so Hubs was sent to see who was calling by!

OMGoodness! Standing there was one of my oldest buddies, who I have not seen for like forever! We had lost contact with one another when we both moved house.....but there she was....standing on my doorstep after all these years....and with her were her two daughters and her adorable hubby.

After the intial shock of their arrival had died down, I dashed upstairs...slapped on some war paint and decent clobber, then we headed off out to spend the rest of the day catching up on all those lost years over a pub supper......it felt like we had never been parted :)

Hubs is in the process of cooking a huge Sunday lunch for us all and we will be spending the rest of the day searching through all our old photos....walking on the beach and no doubt laughing lots!
One things for sure....my buddie and I have exchange phone numbers and will not drift apart again...I love this gal soo much.

I beter go help Hubs with the lunch preps as our visitors will be arriving shortly.

Heres a few sneaky peeps of my Bad Girls projects

and dont forget to check out Pencil Lines tonight.......theres a party atmosphere in the air :)

Heres a sneaky of my PL LO :)

Have a great day.

Bugs go Pop

Excitement filled the house last night when I discovered my spot as a Guest DT on 3 Bugs in a Rug newsletter finally got released to the net!

Wanna see more? Then have a looksey here
The Bugs challenge this month is real cool....why not have go and if you do, please let me know so I can take a peep :)

After battling with 'puta probs for the past few days Ive spent the afternoon with Mr Puta chappie....all is now fixed and he installed Ethernet so we know have a decent signal all around the house :)Living in such an old farmhouse meant the 4ft deep cob walls were a bit of a prob for the old wirelsee set up...anyways we is all happy bunnys...the guys have their own putas up and running which means they no longer have to wait for Mom to stop "workin" before they can chat up their girlies on MSN! LOL!

Stash sorting is still in progress and I have decided that my "extras" I am going to sell.
Ive amassed so much stash over the past year that I really do need to lighten the load.
Ive decided that all profits from the sale of my goodies will be donated to J's old school....for those of you who dont know, J went to a special school until recently. He has "grown" so much since he started there, so much so that he now attends mainstream secondary school....anyways I'd really like to help the special school out as I know they could do with some extra cash to help with funding day trips out in the mini bus. The children gain so much from their weekly trips but fuel price increases mean the trips have been reduced. I'd really like to collect enough money together to help towards the costing for the children to enjoy a day trip later on this year.....its my way of saying "Thanks" for the love and care they showed my boy.

Todays "For sale" offering consist of

1 pack of Bam Pop Series One - 5 patterned papers and one sheet of die cuts - £5 *sold THANK YOU
1 pack Bam POP Series Two - 5 patterned papers and one sheet of die cuts - £5 *sold - THANK YOU
1 set of Bam Pop Clear Acrylic Alphabet Stamps - Pop Font 1 - £19 *Sold - THANK YOU

1 set of Bam Pop Numerals Clear Acrylic Stamps - Pop Font Numbers £8 - *Sold - THANK YOU

or you can buy the lot for £32

all prices included P&P for mainland UK (Im happy to post overseas but postage will be at additional cost)and payment by PayPal please.
So if you fancy treating yourself and wanna buy my surplus stash and help me raise some very much needed funds for this worthwhile cause email me using the link in my side bar.

Thanks.

Frances Meyer

The Pencil Lines DT were sponsored this week by Frances Meyer.
I wasnt too sure about the papers in the collection when I first saw them but they have really grown on me and now I need to find me a second set to finish of a lil mini book Ive been working on.

So heres my LO using the papers and chipboard.....I rotated Kimmy's sketch slightly just to suit the photograph - which is of Aniias little gal.

I covered the chipboard flowers with the PP's and then layered them, adding other flowers which were hand cut from the PP.

The remaining flowers are also cut from the PP's with 3D foam squares added to give a lil dimension.

The title was formed using Heidi Swapp naked chipboard alphas, which I inked before applying to the page.

Its been a funny old week here....lots going on and Ive managed to find time for a lil scrapping :)
In an attempt to be more organised, Ive started yet another mass sort out of my stash, some of which will be making an appearance here tomorrow!

Ive also been trying real hard to be ultra organised around the home....the washing and ironing baskets are empty, so I guess I must be doing something right eh?

Hubs cant believe that each night he has arrived home to a cooked supper waiting for him...its probably the first week in forever that this has happened and quite how long it lasts is yet to be seen!
Im going to try to keep it up because I feel happier with myself when I know the house is tidy and all is in order.

Things have finally been sorted with J's school...we just have to dot the i's and cross the t's. Bobs has been training hard and scored 2 goals in his football match today and then still had the energy to go of surfing for the afternoon, whilst Hubs put up more shelves in my craft cupboard...it is now looking more like a tardis than ever before!

Just a little piccie from me....shame its not valentines eh?

Have a great day.

PS! I nearly forgot..... the winner of my lil RAK was chosen by Hubs and its YOU!
Send me your address hun and I'll post it out to you sometime this week!

I *heart*

I *heart* my collection of Momiji dolls and have been wanting to create a lil mini book of them for ages.
With all my "jobs" done I settled down yesterday and had a play.

Ive been trying to get hold of a acrylic mini book but they dont appear to have hit the UK shores just yet....I got my thinking cap on and then remembered I had a pile of OHP sheets sittin in my craft room.

I had intended on making the book "clear" but it didnt happen because I really wanted to use up the I *heart* Candy Town papers that I'd purchsed especially to co-ordinate with my Momiji Dolls.

So here it is!

I doodled lots over the papers, added images of my dolls and then sandwiched the mini Lo's between the OHP, which I then stitched together using my sewing machine.
The journalling, on each page, are direct quotes taken from the Momiji packaging...I just typed them up and then printed them off....cut out the strips and adhered them on top of the relevant pages.

The stickers used were the ones Anna sent to me a month or so ago...thanks Anna...I finally got to use them :) I added crystal gems, rubons, Q&co flowers and other bits and pieces I had lying around to embellish...maybe I'll add some more.....ummm not sure?????

I *heart* the quotes because each of my dolls have been given to me as gifts from friends and family....it gives me such a warm and snuggly feeling to think my buddies took time to select the dolls they have for me.

The book is held together using book rings and is a lot more studier than I thought it would be....I'll be making another for sure.

Ive made up another book to RAK...leave me a comment if you want to have a go at making one of these books for yourself and I'll announce one winner on Sunday night.

Mr UPS has just delivered a box of yummie prizes for me to play with....*slurp* *slurp* *slurp* I *heart* you Mr Scenic Route :)

Off to play....have a great day.

Lovin this gal

I just love the album...its fantastic....Mouthwash is my fav....its a scrappers song for sure.

Spotted this too which made me LOL!

Girls are like apples on trees.
The best ones are at the top of the tree.
The boys dont want to reach for the good ones because they are afraid of falling and getting hurt.

Instead, they get the rotten apples from the ground that arent as good, but easy.
So the apples up top think something is wrong with them when in reality they're amazing.
They just have to wait for the right boy to come along, the one who's brave enough to climb all the way to the top!

Im just glad my man liked climbing trees :)

Madness and Mayhem!

Madness! Sheer madness!
The past week has been a total rollercoaster ride.....with ups and downs to boot!
Ah well! Such is life....the new week starts and with it will be sunnier skies and brighter days.

In between sorting and fixing Ive managed to get quite a bit of scrappin done....personally for me I find its a great way to shut out the daily grinds of life...I lock myself away, turn up the volume on my Ipod and self absorb in a little creative therapy...I always emerge from my craft room feeling soo much better.

I was ultra excited to see Mr Postie this week....he bought me not one but three wonderful boxes filled to the brim with oddles of yummy new stash to play with.

Box one was from Scrapping Goodies and its contents were amazing.....Rach has put together a stonkingly good kit this month. It is so full of product that its sure to get the old creative juices flowing....Cherry Arte, Hambly Transparencies and the crochet flowers are just so darn cute...I really must get myself over to visit Hubs Gran so she can teach me how to make my own.

I used some of the kit to create my offering for this weeks sketch for Pencil Lines.

PP's are all the new Morrocco range from Cherry Arte and I used one of the Hambly Transparencies to frame the photograph which is of the signpost at the bottom of our lane....whenever we go away, upon our return J always says "This sign makes me glad -glad we are back home"...bless my lil homebird eh?

Check out this weeks sketch from Guest Designer Sarah van Wijck and if you play along you could be the lucky winner of a set of Sarah's fab new stamps - full details how are over at Pencil Lines :)

Box number two, delivered by Mr Postie, contained scrummy stash from Scrapping Angels - Anna asked me to be a Guest Designer for Scrapping Angels whilst Annie is sunning herself on her hols....I was honoured to be asked and even more blown away when Anna asked me if I would like to teach a couple of classes at Scrapping Angels Retreat next April....would I like to? Of course I bloomin well would :) Im so excited :) Lucy from SIStv will also be there teaching :) Whooo hooo :) The weekend is going to be a blast and Im already planning my classes!!!

I sat and played for the afternoon and created two LO's using this months Scrapping Angels page kit and still have enough stash to play some more.
Heres a couple of sneakies :)

Box three....well that arrived Saturday morning and had me sat on the kitchen floor stroking stash for almost an hour! Im not sharing where it came from....well not just yet anyways ;)

So what else has happened this week?

Bad Girls Top Designer contest saw 40 of the Design School students leave :( Its so sad to see so many people leave the contest especially when the standard of work which is being produced has been so inspiring...I wish everyone could win but there can only be one scrapper crowned The Top Designer.
Class 2 has now started and WOW! The Design Students have really cranked up the work thats been submitted...if you wanna see for yourself then take a peep here.

On the home front Ive spent a couple of afternoons catching up with buddies, its great when they pop round for a cuppa and we spend the afternoon chatting about nothing at all....just chillin, hangin out together and enjoying the last of this summers sun.

I went and watched Bobs play in his first fottie match of the season....and he scored :)

Ive also spent an age sorting out my scraproom again and have been chasing the education department trying to sort J's schooling probs out.....grrrrrrr!

So what about you?
Whats your news?
Care to share?

Mother Clangers goes to Candy Town

This weeks Pencil Lines sketch was sponsored by Scrap In Style TV (SIStv) and Big Sis, Jeanette Herdman, sent the Pencil Lines DT members the "I *heart* Candy Town" collection to play with and play I have:)

The sketch was designed by my fellow Pencil Lines gal, Jolene Pienaar, and is perfect for using up some of your stash scraps.

The photograph is of the Mother Clangers plushie that the guys bought me last Mothers Day....apparently I am Mother Clangers....well according to my guys I am!!!

I had originally purchased the SIStv kit for myself, because the papers are perfect for a little album I wanna make of my Momiji dolls. I had so much stash leftover from the kit Jeanette sent, that I sat this afternoon and put this LO of J together...

and I still have some scraps left which are destined for a LO of Bobs!!!

Here's a lil sneaky peep of next weeks Pencil Lines LO!

Ive managed to complete two LO's and have another in progress...all that in one afternoon is a sure sign that my guys are back to school!

Have fun....enjoy...be happy.

Party, Party, Party!

WOW! Im home after spending the most amazing weekend with friends and family.

My Sis sure did everyone proud and pulled together an evening which will surely be talked about for many months to come....she really was the hostess with the mostest!

After driving the 200 miles up north in a record breaking 3 hours we arrived safe and sound at "The Lardings".

This place is amazing and I love spending time at my Sis's home....its a real family home with such a wonderful feel to it....from its aged beams right down to the flagstone floors....the chickens wandering around the gardens...the aga giving of a warm glow....the sheep in the fields surrounding the house....the fresh air of the countryside....I just love the place so much....its a home built with love and deffo a place for parties!

The garden was a hive of activity and within minutes of our arrival we had our sleeves rolled up and were given a list of tasks to complete!

As the skies darkened, the decorative lights illuminated the garden and it began to come alive....it looked so magical, although I dread to see my Sis's next electricity bill!

We sat back and admired our handywork whilst dining al fresco.

The guys stayed over at my Sis's whilst Hubs and I spent the night at "Leones"....going "home" always is an emotional time for me since my Dads death....I walk in through the front door and miss his cheery greeting so much. With so many of his personal belongings scatterd around the house it makes it feel like he is still there.....I suppose he is in spirit and always will be.

I know he would have been so proud of my Sis....she takes after my Dad in so many ways and just like him, she sure knows how to throw a bloomin good party!

Saturday was spent adding the final touches. Whilst the adults all ran around like loons the guys all got to play! The bouncy castle was a hit....

and J loved talking the ferrets for a walk!!! We are now being nagged to death as J wants a couple for himself! YIKES!!!!

By 8pm we were all showered and dressed in our finest ready to party the night away.....and party we did!

The string quarteret were amazing....they played just the right mix of modern and classical tunes....the Hog roast was enjoyed by all and the copious ammounts of alcohol gaurented that the next morning there were many sore heads!!

Sundays clear up job didnt take too long....many hands make light work eh?
Once the garden was back to normal we shared Sunday luch together and then Hubs, the guys and I said our goodbyes just before we headed back down the M5 to home.

The weekend was such a blast!

The guys werent so keen to be woken for school this morning....but I'll admit to feeling a little shattered too!!! The washing is done and waiting to be ironed....it can wait a lil longer though because I must go check out whats been happening over at Bad Girls....the Top Designer contest has started and Ive heard that there are some pretty amazing LO's which have made their way into the gallery.
Thanks to all those who registered after visiting my blog and took the time to leave a comment here.
I promised a lil RAK before I left on Friday and my winner is this lucky lady :)
Email me your address and I'll pop the goodies in the post later this week:)

Have a great day....enjoy.
