Flapper's Girl

Way back when Hubs and I were younger he had the wonderful nickname of Flapper. The nick name was given to him by his closest buddie (cus Hubs was blessed with sticky out ears when he was a littlie!)
When we go visit back home, a few of his old school buddies still use his nickname and its sounds kinda weird.
I, in turn, became known as FlappersMrs....which I hated! The more I protested the more it got used! How glad I am that we dont return to our old stomping ground that often!

Anyways my reason for this lil snippet of info is because in this months Scrapbook Inspirations I, along with the ever so creative Roz, have a feature about the Lippy Chick Flap Books, which has been titled Flapper Girls!! Hubs and I both laughed at the title....I thought I'd escaped the nickname forever...obviously not as some of our old buddies spotted the article and phoned last night to tease me even more!

Seeing my Flap Book on the front cover was such a surprise when I walked in to the newsagents....it really made a dull day a lot brighter :)

I love Roz'z Flap Book....its sooo cute and made with some of my favourite papers from 3 Bugs:)

I used papers and ribbons from We R Meory Keepers Diner collection.

Its been a busy few days with the craft cupboard construction taking far longer than anticipated....Hubs has created a lil heaven on earth for me and Im slowly getting there with rehoming all my stash :) Trying to keep the guys happy and spend quality time with them in between stash sorting has been fun.....NOT! I tried to bribe them with a crisp £5 note each if they sat and sorted my brads.....it didnt work!
The horrid weather hasnt helped and the guys both are suffering with cabin fever! They are desperate to get out and skate but its done nothing but rain for the past two days!
J's developed an awful cough and is hacking away like he's got a 20 a day habit! He said he feels ill because he hasnt had enough fresh air!

Im hoping that the sun starts to shine soon and that I can take the guys down to the beach....maybe the fresh air will blow J's cough away.
This afternoon I will be settling myself down to a serious craft session. No crafting for 5 days has been a killer!

A couple of piccies for Her Space My Space
Shadows of the guys hanging out at the Skate Bowl and our favourite treat.....carrot and orange drizzle cake!

When will it stop raining????? Where is the sun??? Its hard to believe that its the 1st of June tomorrow and in three weeks time the nights will start drawing in...Yikes it'll be time to start getting ready for Christmas soon!!!

Have a fun day.

T.x.

Lol at the flapper story! Just when you thought you had escaped the nickname. I must say though, your Lippy Chick is absolutely amazing! I love the way you worked the patterned papers and ribbons. Lush!

Fingers crossed the sun will shine pretty soon :o)

Must. Have. Recipe. For orange drizzle cake! My stomach is absolutely growling.

Love the flapper album. Super cute idea, and I love your execution.

The flap book is terrific, and the orange drizzle looks really yummy, but T you went and spoilt it by using that C work and it's all of 7 months away well six and a half!

The next couple of weeks will fly by and before you know it you will be airborne.
