I hate being behind with anything but sometimes real life has to take over!
I had such a happy scrappy day yesterday and managed two LO's and 3 of my cards for the art journal Im taking part in.
Emilys prompts were
I believe.
When I was a lil girlie my dear old Dad would often sing to me and my lil sis's....he was always singing, always happy, always smiling....I miss him more today than when he moved on to pastures green. I dont think I will ever get over losing him.....we didnt always get on....I was a bit of a rebel and kicked against his rules but as I grew older and had a family of my own I learnt to respect him and his wise words a hell of a lot more.
So my card for "I believe" just had to be the lyrics of the song he would often croon along to......
I believe for every drop of rain that falls
A flower grows,
I believe that somewhere in the darkest night
A candle glows,
I believe for everyone who goes astray,
Someone will come to show the way,
I believe, I believe.
I believe above the storm a smallest prayer
Will still be heard,
I believe that someone in the great somewhere
Hears every word,
Every time I hear a newborn baby cry,
Or touch a leaf, or see the sky,
Then I know why,
I believe.

On the reverse of the card I journalled my belief that we will always be a forever family......one day we will all be reunited in a much nicer place.

The second prompt "What are you thinking"
Ummmm a hard one for me because just at the moment Im having issues with some feelings that have really hurt me over the past 12 months, so much so that my heart aches.....Journalling on the reverse of the card is very personal but in it I ask when will my heart stop hurting so bloomin much???? I do take things to heart an awful lot and let it rule my head sometimes.....I miss people I can no longer see and my heart aches to be able to spend time with them right now....its a bit deep....sorry!

On to brighter and cheery things....card number three follows the prompt of Birdies.

I just love love love birdies and many of my recent LO's have featured a lil birdie somewhere...
This card is dedicated to Hubs Gran who has a lil sayimg which I adore...
God gives every bird a worm, but he doesnt throw it in the nest.

How true is this....we are all given what we need but its up to us to find it!
The sun is shining.....the sea is warm....picnic is packed and we are off out to enjoy the day.....and this time I will have the camera with me!
Enjoy.

Belief is a very strong emotion, whether it is belief in self, in others or the greater scheme of things, it runs alongside love and friendship and inspiration - all these come from you, the things you do, say and achieve and I am proud to call you a friend
Beautiful cards!!
