Just chillin out!

Ive had such a good weekend.

Friday Hubs took the day off work and treated me to a fab lunch date at the new wine bar which opened its doors in the town. If you are ever in this neck of the woods then do check it out!
Its the perfect place to take you away from it all.

Imagine the beam structure of a barn with glass between the beams..with contemporary seating and lighting. The food is locally sourced as much as possible and is exquisitly prepared and presented. Old black & white movies shown all day on the hugest plasma screen Ive ever seen. There are cosey cushioned booths in the chill-out zone....imagine loads of leather bean bags and huge cushions just waiting for you to snuggle into whilst listening to the fab tunes. It certainly was a much welcomed break from the hectic week Ive had!

After our annual meeting with the bank manager, Hubs took me to Carol Anne's and I came home with my final Troll glass bead....I just need two silver beads and my bracelet is full.....with Mothers day and our wedding anniversary this month Im hoping that I will be moving on to my necklace in the not so distant future!

Saturday was such fun.
I spent the day in the amazing company of the girls from Braunton Croppers. Jen even popped by to wave bye bye to the group as she leaves sleepy old Devon to head for the highlife on offer in Northampton :(

Sonia made the most awesome Choccie Fudge Cake for all to over indulge in.....shame I couldnt savour the delights.....bah humbug to diets and choccie alergies.

My class went down really well with all completing the three projects with enough time for us to have a play with some photo editing.
I just love spending time with the gals.....they are such fun and so keen to try new techniques and products.
This month we played with dry embossing using the fab stencils given to me by Amy Pilkington (Lasting Impressions DT member)and everyone went home happy with their layout, card and file folder.....three projects from just two sheets of patterned papers and two sheets of cardstock....now thats stretching a kit, but I like to use every scrip and scrap from the kits I provide b/c I hate waste!

Last month I set the gals a challenge to have a go at creating a LO using a scrap map I created.....

Theresa created this LO with a wonderful accordian album attached

and Veronica created this stunning LO of her little grandson....how cute is he.

Sonia had a go but hit a brick wall and didnt get her Lo finished intime....although she was spotted completing the Lo at the end of the croppin session....I do hope she brings it along next month to share with us.

I came home from the crop and chiiled out on the sofa watching a movie!
Supper was eaten at the local and then home to bed!

Today has been spent eagerly awaiting Emilys weekly prompt for the art journal and whilst I wait with baited breath Ive been playing referee to the guys who are suffering from a serious bout of cabin fever! The weather is awful and so is their mood today!
Summers not to long away......thank goodness....Im missing lazy chill out days spent on the beach...Im missing the sun!

Have a restful Sunday and enjoy whats left of the day......tis Monday tomorrow and Im off to attend a bead making class with the ever so talented Manda of Mango Beads.....I cant begin to tell you how excited I am!

T.x.x
